ইশটিশনে থাকে ওরা, ইশটিশনে বাস
ইশটিশনেই দল বেঁধে রয়, কাটায় বারো মাস।
কয়টি কিশোর? ছয়টি কিশোর, হয় না ছাড়াছাড়ি
ইশটিশনে পুঁ ঝিকঝিক থামলে রেলের গাড়ি-
দরজা দিয়ে বগির ভেতর লাফিয়ে ওরা ওঠে,
হন্যে হয়ে বোঝার খোঁজে এদিক সেদিক ছোটে।
টানলে বোঝা তবেই পেটে পড়বে দানা পানি,
তা না হলে রইবে উপোস আমরা সবাই জানি।
কখনো বা রেলের ছাদে পড়বে উঠে ওরা,
ইশটিশনে ইশটিশনে ওদের চলে ঘোরা।
ফিরতি রেলের ছাদে চড়ে আবার ফিরে আসা,
ইশটিশনই ওদের আপন ইশটিশনই বাসা।
কখনো বা পুলিশ এসে তাড়ায় লাঠি মেরে,
তখন ওরা দৌড়ে পালায় ‘নিজের বাসা’ ছেড়ে।
পার্কে-পথে তখন ওদের আরো করুণ দশা,
দিনের বেলায় মাছির জ্বালা, রাত্রে জ্বালায় মশা।
কদিন বাদে আবার ওরা ‘বাসা’য় আসে ফিরে,
চলছে ওরা অনিশ্চত এক ভবিষ্যতে, ধীরে।
