তবু তুমি ফিরেও তাকাওনি একটিবার!

আমি জানতাম না তোমার পাশে আমি এতটায় বেমানান । এতটা কুৎশীত লাগে তোমার পাশে দেখতে আমায়!
যদি জানদাম কখনোই দাঁড়াতাম না তোমার পাশে ।

আচ্ছা তোমার কি মনে পড়ে? কি কান্নাটায় না করেছিলাম সে দিন!
যেমন কাঁদে সন্তান হারা মা, সঙ্গহীন নিঃসঙ্গ পাখি
কিংবা বাবার কাদে সন্তানের লাশ!

ক্ষুধার্ত কুকুরের মত ছুঁটেছিলাম তোমার পিছু।
সেই কি নির্মম আচরণ টায় না করলে আমার সাথে!
এত অবহেলার পরেও আমি ফের ছুঁটে গিয়েছি
তোমার কাছে; তবু ফিরেছি শূণ্য হাতে!

আচ্ছা তোমার শত শতবার বলা "ভালোবাসি" কথার
মাঝেও কি ভালোবাসা ছিলো না?

জানো, তোমাকে একটা প্রশ্ন করতে ইচ্ছে হয়!
তুমি এত এতবার উচ্চারণ করেছিলে ভালোবাসি!
ভালো-ই যদি বাসো আমাকে ছেঁড়ে গেছো ক্যান?
আমার হয়ে থাকো নি ক্যান?
